Stasiya's eating solids now!

Or at least we are trying to feed her solids. She seems to be a bit of a picky eater when we introduce a new food to her. She loves carrots, sweet potatoes, bananas, watermelon, and applesauce. But she's not a big fan of green things like...

And Peas
She even threw up her peas after I fed them to her. That's how much she did not like them.

Poor thing - bless her heart. You would think we were giving her something like chicken liver with the faces she was making.

It's not always so bad though. Here she is during dinner eating her favorites and talking. She is saying "ya ya ya" - it's so cute!

Mimi & Pappy time

Mimi & Pappy (my mom and step-dad) came to stay with us last week. The girls got really spoiled with lots of surprises, snuggles, staying up late, and sugary sweets - they had lots of fun with them.

Taylee got her name painted YELLOW. Also, notice her yellow bracelet I made her?

A yellow day.

Smelling the flowers.

Stasiya likes to suck my face

Funny video of Stasiya eating my face. My mom was taking this video and laughing at Stasiya and also distracting her from getting me.

Zoo Trip

We went to the Greenville Zoo while Mimi and Pappy were here - it was lots of fun. Taylee really enjoyed seeing all the animals.

Me and my girls.
P.S. I LOVE my stroller and give it a 5 star rating.

watching the elephants - one of Taylee's new words she picked up that day along with flamingo, which she pronounced "shamingo"

oh - hello there. I'm just hanging out in my stroller.

Chat also came with us to the zoo. Athelie was showing chat the chickens here.

Saturday Morning Market

One of our favorite things to do this summer is to go downtown on Saturday mornings to the farmer's market. We've gotten lots of fresh produce and veggies from local farms which has all tasted WONDERFUL. It has inspired many meals around our house. This past weekend we took Mimi and Pappy downtown so that they could also get a taste of our downtown.

Here's some pics:

Happy Birthday Athélie!!! 2 years old

Athélie turned 2 years old yesterday! Can't believe she's 2 already. She's such a big girl. Talking so much. She repeats pretty much everything. Her newest words are flamingos, Albuquerque, elephant...she likes 3 syllable words. She loves playing at the park, especially going up and down the slide. She loves the swimming pool, although she isn't interested in going in the water - only staying on the steps. She loves to read books. She loves to listen to her little nursery rhyme music. She is a still a great eater (most of the time). She still loves her "Gee" (blanket) and now "Chat" - her cat. She's a great big sister to Anastasiya. She gives her lots of love and attention. She is a very sweet, affectionate, adventerous, full-of-energy, fun loving little girl. Marc and I are so blessed to have the opportunity to raise her. We are so thankful for her and so excited to see her continue to grow into a little lady and young woman.
This past weekend we had a birthday party for her. Taylee's Mimi and Pappy came into town from Albuquerque and were able to be at the party along with some of her favorite friends. It was a YELLOW party...Taylee's favorite color.
Here's some pics from the party.

Happy 6 Month Birthday Stasiya!

6 Months old!

Pool Baby

Getting ready to cheer for the Gators this fall.

Stasiya started sitting up all by herself this month!

She sleeps on her belly most of the time. And she keeps poking her legs between the bars (I had a bumper. But Athelie kept getting in Stasiya's crib and it broke and would not stay up properly so I took it out.)

Much better

She got her front two bottom teeth in this month!

We've also started giving her some solid foods. We've been giving her rice for a few weeks now, and just the past few days gave her carrotts for the first time. She didn't like the taste of either the first time but the second time around she was happy to eat both.

She's such a smiley happy baby.
