Well, now we have a new piano baby.

Most days when we are driving around in the car, the girls are doing this:

Love it!

The Funny Things She Says - I

Athélie has been saying some pretty funny things lately. She talks a lot and we have lots of conversations around our house. And sometimes Marc and I have to try not to laugh at the things she says. I'm going to try to document some of these things. I'm sure one day it will be fun to remember them.
Yesterday after the girls nap I go into their room and Taylee has been busy busy. I'm not even sure if she took a nap.
Me: "Did you take a nap?"
Tay: "I slept twenty. Stas slept ELEVEN."
Me: "Did you wake her up?"
Tay: "I say cock-a-doodle-doo."
Me: "Was it time to say cock-a-doodle-doo?"
Tay: "Yes I say COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO!"
Here's another: Athelie loves reading her Toodler bible and has a list of favorite stories. One of them is the story of John the Baptist. Here's a conversation Marc had with her while reading this story.
Marc: "Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist in water and other people got baptized also."
Tay: "Daddy got baptized at church too."
Marc. "You are right. Daddy did get baptized. He did that to tell everyone that Jesus is his friend. Do you want to tell people that you're Jesus' friend too?"
Tay: "No."
Marc: "Why?"
Tay: "I don't want to get my hair all wet!" (We'll have to work on that.)

Ring Around the Posies

Ring around the posies = lots of fun.

May 22, 2012

Good Morning

Taylee wakes up early, around 6ish, and she's ready to go. Jumping, running and talking 100 mph it seems. It's always a challenge to keep her in her room until closer to 7 when I prefer to wake up and start my day (and also when Stasiya wakes up). This morning she was busy busy before coming out of her room. Marc went up to get the girls and this is what he saw:

Pig, Yellow Bear and Bunny also known as Rabbit (those are their names) with diapers on.

It's a little hard to see in the pictures but they are also propped up against a pillow sitting up. And what's up with all those bracelets and necklaces lined up?

Silly funny Taylee.

May in review

I know I haven't posted in a while, so I want to catch you up on the month of May so far.

We went to Athélie's friend, Piper's 3rd birthday party. The girls had lots of fun playing games at the park.
Here they are with Piper. Taylee likes for her and Stas to wear matching outfits.

Piper and Taylee sitting next to each other in a duck duck goose circle.

Eating Dora cake

At the Ducky Derby Race - watching 1000's of rubber duckies race down the Reedy River.

Over Mother's Day weekend, we visited our good friends Shea and Misti in Columbia, South Carolina. Ella and Taylee have been friends since utero. They were so excited to see each other and gave each other hugs first thing when they saw each other. They had lots of playing together over the weekend.

Marc participated in his first National Physique competition. He competed in the Physique category (not bodybuilding which is more popular and better known). After training and dieting for 12 weeks he placed 4th!!! among 12 other competitors. We're pretty sure he was the oldest one in his category too which is pretty impressive. Here he is - looking good.

We celebrated Mother's Day by going to brunch at Cafe Strudel in downtown Colbumia and then walking around the University of South Carolina campus. It was beautiful with so many historic buildings and huge massive old trees.

This is the only picture I got of me and the girls on Mother's Day. It was hard to get them in the same place at the same time. They were busy busy exploring and running around chasing squirrels.

I'm so thankful for my girls. They are so sweet. And beautiful. And fun.

P.S. It took 3 diferent photoshoots, plus approximately 300 pictures to get these few "good" shots of the girls. Seriously.

We've been doing  a lot of grilling out on our deck since the weather's warmed up. The girls enjoy eating outside on the picnic table.

And here's a video of the girls playing in the front yard. (It's been hard to get video's lately of them because they always stop what they are doing and run to me to "see" the video.)

This past weekend we enjoyed good food at home and at the Greek Festival. We always enjoy going and listening to the music, watching the dancing, and eating the foods. Lamb gyros and baklava sundaes are the best.

They didn't want to sit in their stroller so we help hands while walking thru the crowd.

Happy 15 Month Birthday Stasiya!

15 Months! She's getting so big.

She's busy busy these days. She is such a joy. So much fun. Giggles. And wants to be a part of everything. She gets upset if she's left out at all. She's starting to make more sounds/words. Maybe she's saying "up" and "mom" not quite sure yet, definitely she says "bye". She LOVES her sister. And Taylee loves her. They get along so well together and play together all the time, it's hard to imagine them ever being seperated. She's still putting everything in her mouth, especially dirt and sand and mud and soil. The funny thing is she is a picky eater. She is all about texture. She won't eat some things, things that are very good, like avocado, boiled eggs, watermelon, mango...the list goes on. But she will eat SAND. Go figure. Hopefully she'll outgrow that before we go to the beach this summer.

Here's a few more shots from our photoshoot. Taylee always likes to get in on the action too. And Stasiya likes to climb on everything. Lately, she's been discovering light switches.

Last weekend Lunise (Marc's youngest sister) graduated from the University of Florida Nursing School. We are so proud of her! She has big plans for her life and has already accomplish so much. Marc drove down to Gainesville for a few days to meet up with family and help celebrate her. Here's some pic's of his family.
