Dancing Girls

The girls' new favorite thing to do is dance/play dress up. They like to put on their tutu's and twirl around. They now have a dress-up drawer full of tutus, jewelry, sunglasses, headbands, crowns and butterfly wings. (Plus, they are getting more dress up clothes for Christmas!)

They get dressed up and dance. And then, they also have costume changes. They don't know that's what they are doing, but they have to change things up after each song. Hilarious!

These pictures are a little blurry because I took them with my phone, but still fun to see them in action.

ATL Zoo Day

I thought I would get these pictures up last week, but we got busy around the house. Or rather - we got lazy as Marc was home and we didn't do anything except for enjoy lots of good family time. We had a fun day at the Atlanta Zoo, it's always interesting to see other zoos/museums in different cities. Each one is unique.

They had a little petting area with pigs, goats, and sheep. The girls loved petting the goats.

I love this look on Athelie's face - her eyes are so big. Not quite sure what to think. Plus - check out the girl's outfit.

We rode the train which went through a couple of tunnels. It was actually a bit scary. I was holding on tight to the girls. Taylee especially was NOT happy about that train ride.

Happy 21 Months Birthday Stasiya!

Ha! That is a mouth full. Almost done documenting her 1st two years with monthly birthdays...wearing the same outfit each month. I hope you have enjoyed seeing her grow. It is fun looking at how she changes and grows so much every month.
"Cheese" - That's what she says when I take pictures. And she scrunches her nose whenever she smiles really big. Super cute! I love that little scrunched nose!

Sisters. Plus - that look Stasiya is giving. She's learning some new looks these day.

Her shirt is getting too small for her. It doesn't even fit over her big belly!

She is starting to say more words these days. Plus...this is one of my favorite things she does - when she wants you to listen and understand what she is saying, she gets right in your face, holds your face with both of her little hands, looks you in the eye, and tells you. She wants you to pay attention to what she is saying. Yesterday she did this after we got home from the Atlanta Zoo (look for pictures from our trip on the blog tomorrow). She wanted me to know her favorite part of the day was the elephant and the train. She can't say the word train yet, so instead she told me "choo choo" with little arm motions. So cute! Love it! And she really likes elephants. Especially the "Elephant" song from Barney. I'm thinking about throwing her a Valentine Heart/Elephant birthday party in February.

***new pics***

I got a new phone for my birthday and I've been taking pictures using Instagram (an iphone app). It has lots of cool filters that make the pictures look really great. Here's a few pics I've shared.

**tip - click on individual pictures to make them bigger and get a better view.

playing in the dirt...in her tutu

This is how she rolls on the left. And pen all over her face five minutes before walking out the door (thanks to her sister) on the right.

This is how they watch tv/movies...snuggled on the couch sitting side by side.

Gymnastics Days

The girls have been taking a gymnastics class this fall. They love going - they've even brought their tricks home to show off with headstands, tall stretches, and forward rolls (yep, Athelie can do one all my herself!)  Stasiya is in a mom-and-tot class while Taylee is in class with other kids her age. It is during the same time which is both good and bad. Good that we don't have to spend 2 hours there. Bad that I don't get to just watch her - I'm keeping up with Stasiya the majority of the time.

Well, for Halloween each year they have a costume parade before their preschool class. So, the girls got to dress up and show off. Stasiya was a lion. And Taylee was a fairy. Really - she looked like she does every other day with wings. She get's a lot of use out of her tutu. While I had my camera on, I got to take some pics of Stasiya during class, which was fun.

Cutest little lion I've ever seen.
